Thoughtful staff, luxurious hotel with good restaurant. Good sized and recently refurbished room with very comfortable beds. The service in the property was friendly. Late check-out.

Convenience of the hotel bus shuttle every hour to city centre. Peaceful central gardens. Friendly atmosphere. Very nice decor. Nice extra touch of chocolates brought around. Friendly staff.
Aircon didn't work even after informing front desk.

Staff, definitely. Very responsive, attentive, good humored and professional. While I note below that the continental breakfast had issues the service received was above the normal standard. Example: coffee brought to table versus self-serve. quick clearance of used plates, etc.
Overpriced and excessively limited internet services. No exhaust fan in bathroom for odors. Bathtub mounted so entry/exit is precariously. Continental breakfast is a bit over-priced as its range was comparable to what I generally find as complimentary in similar level hotels and the food was not refreshed and/or the heaters had stopped working and noone noticed, not sure which.

The location was excellent, the room had a fabulous view of the Gondola, the dining room was decorated nicely and felt very cosy with the fire in the centre.

Request a room with garden view to enjoy a peaceful stay, as the ground floor rooms overlook the garden area.

The location is not near the town centre as told. They made me wait about 2 hours to check in to my room !! And Internet is too expensive and very slow in the rooms.

Curiosity got me
The superior twin room was unexpectedly good, transformed to fit our needs. A little more privacy would enhance the room's charm, but the location offers amazing views.

1. Architecture of the building was really good. Blended with the surroundings, good theme. 2. The gentleman, the young man from Yorkshire helped me with the bookings for a ride on the Earnslaw as well as drove me into town one rainy day. 3. The room was good - well maintained and impeccable. 4. Bathroom was good - clean, good design. Hot water came right away. 5. Decor of the hotel was good. artistic and tasteful.
Nothing I can comment on. Really liked the stay. Thanks, Liked your breakfast as well.

The hotel was close to town and they had a bus driver take you into town and pick you up every hour until 9pm every day. The sauna was great after a day skiing
The Buffet breakfast was cold and the waiters were terriblly slow at cleaning up or serving us.

It was just a smart choice for a brief stopover in Queenstown with best value. The room was large, made our stay comfortable. Parking can be tricky and additional fees apply, so plan accordingly.
